Until now Dzongkhag doesn’t have designated bus terminal and is operated from the limited space of the town. Due to lack of designated space; the bus operators, regulatory bodies and district has been facing difficulties in delivering the effective public transport services. With this new structure, it will facilitate the public transport services more efficiently. The terminal will be accommodating the maximum of seven buses which was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Foreign Minister(s) of Royal Government of Bhutan and Government of India on 29th April, 2022 virtually. Subsequently, the structure was handed over to Regional RSTA, Gelephu by Dzongkhag Administration on 30th April, 2022 to initiate the operation of services.
