Keep Bumthang Clean

Dzongkhag Administration, Bumthang would like to inform the general public, institutions, business community and others that the Dzongkhag Administration has formed three Waste Monitoring teams. Each team comprises of eight members. The teams will randomly visit any areas anytime for waste monitoring. Therefore, all are reminded to keep the surrounding areas clean. Any areas and surroundings with improper waste management will be imposed fines and penalties as per the Waste Prevention and Management Regulation Act 2012.

Further, the team will respond to any tip off leading to illegal garbage dumping and track the culprit. The random waste inspection have started from 22nd April 2019.
